The client from Wandsworth SW18 had an HP Elitebook with broken screen. He came to our repair centre for laptop screen replacement. This laptop screen replacement / repair job from Wandsworth SW18 was for quite an old laptop. The laptop had an old style LCD screen. These type of laptop screens are difficult to find these days as they have become obsolete. A broken laptop screen cannot be repaired, so the only option is screen replacement. For laptop screen replacement we tried to locate the LCD screen but failed. The only option left was to buy a new style LED screen and then convert it. The conversion makes it usable with old style connector.

We bought a similar sized LED screen and did the conversion for the client. You can do the conversion by yourself if you are a little bit technical. This video shows how to do it in simple steps. Alternatively, a converted laptop screen can be bought online from eBay or Amazon for a decent price. We try our best to source an original LCD laptop screen first before looking at other options such as converting an LED screen etc. You also recommend you to do the same as it saves time and hassle.
