Macbook Pro Retina Display A1245 Water Damaged / Keyboard Replacement – Putney SW15:
This Macbook Pro Retina had been damaged by spilling beer on the keyboard. It was not turning on at all. We disassembled and cleaned each and every component before reassembling it back. We managed to turn it on but half of the keys on the keyboard would not work. The problem with modern keyboards is that even if single key does not work one has to replace the whole keyboard. We sourced a new keyboard for this laptop and replaced it. Customer was happy that we managed to bring his dead Macbook to life. One tip for replacing keyboard for Macbook laptops is that beware of the cheap keyboards available online as they do not last! Even a second hand genuine keyboard is way better than a cheap Chinese replica.
