Wimbledon DC Power Jack Repair (recent job)
The client brought his HP Envy Laptop that had a faulty DC power jack and was not turning on (as the battery was completely discharged). This laptop’s power jack is a bit different from common ones and was not commonly available in the market. We, however, had a similar laptop with faulty motherboard for recycling. So, we took out the power jack from that one and used it in this laptop. The laptop started to start-up and charge the battery again. Problem solved.
