This gentleman from Wimbledon brought his laptop for repairs. It was not turning on at all . We diagnosed a faulty power jack. In this particular model it was integrated on the motherboard. We had to de-solder the faulty one out and solder a new one back in. When repairing the power-jack, it is vital to use genuine parts as poor quality power-jack may not last and also cause short circuit / fire.
